Danboard

Hello everyone! Have you read the comic called YOTSUBATO? This comic is one of my favorites. Today, I will introduce a robot called Danboard that it is a character of YOTSUBATO.

YOTSUBATO is a Japanese comedy manga begun in 2003 by Kiyohiko Azuma. Now it is translated into 13 languages, and it is sold in about 23 countries. YOTSUBATO is YOTSUBA& when people make the English notation. This comic's tagline is "Today is the happiest day anytime." The protagonist is a five-year-old girl called Yotsuba Koiwai. She is very vigorous and an unfettered person, so she can notice many small and impressive things.

Yotsuba has a father called To-chan. We don't know his real name. However, To-chan isn't Yotsuba's real father. We don't know why she calls him father, but To-chan said Yotsuba was an abandoned child from abroad. Yotsuba has green hair and her hairstyle is like a four-leaf clover. I think Yotsuba and Yo-chan are cheerful, so it is interesting. There are many characters in YOTSUBATO. For example, the Ayase family, Janbo and Yanda and more.

  The Ayase family lives next to Yotsuba' house. There are three sisters in the family. Yotsuba and the sisters are good friends. Especially, the youngest sister Ena and Ena's friend, Miura, are close friends to Yotsuba.

One summer, Miura and Ena had to do a handicraft for homework. They made a cardboard box robot. When Miura wore this robot, she met Yotsuba, so Yotsuba believed that she was a real robot and she was impressed. Miura posed as a robot and she said her name was Danboard. And Danboard was born.

At present, Danboard goods are sold in many countries. This time, I will introduce the Danboard mini doll. I think it is adorable. I bought this doll the other day. The doll isn't make of cardboard, but the color is brown like carboard. The doll's arm and legs can move. And when you turn on the switch, this doll's eyes shine. I think there are many ways to play with this Danboard doll. Some people take a photograph. It is fashionable. There are many Danboard goods elsewhere. Ikimonogakari

Hi! Happy new year! How did you spend the New Year's days? I drew a fortune in the shinto shrine at Chiba. My fortune says this year is going to be excellent for me. And I prayed that I would spend my year in health. What did you pray for?



For today's topic, I will introduce a popular band in Japan, Ikimonogakari. I think everyone in Japan knows this band..

Ikimonogakari has three members. This band's name means "animal handler" in English. They said the reason why they chose this name was because they had all been assigned to be ikimonogakari when they were in primary school.

Ikimonogakari made their debut in 1999.  They are lead singer Kiyoe Yoshioka, acoustic guitarist Hotaka Yamashita, and electric guitarist Yoshiki Mizuno. This band doesn't have a regular bassist, but they have a supporting bassist, Takashi Adachi. There are supporting members elsewhere.

Ikimonogakari got the 52nd Japan Record Award. It is a major music awards show annually in Japan. They won many prize elsewhere too. And their songs are used much in theme songs and as commercial message songs. Please check their songs!

RADWIMPS

Hello everyone! Have you heard of a band called RADWIMPS? They are one of my favorite Japanese rock bands. I often listened to their songs in the old days. For today's topic, I will introduce this band.

RADWIMPS has four members. The lead vocal and guitarist is Youjiro Noda. He often wears a hat in their live concerts or on TV. He lived in the United States from the age of six years old for four years, so he is proficient in English. The lead guitarist is Akira Kuwahara. He graduated from hardrock guitarist training school. The bassist is Yu-suke Takeda, and the drummer is Satoshi Yamaguchi.

Next, I'll introduce RADWIMPS history. They formed the band in 2001 in Kanagawa.The band's name is from two words of English. It is rad and wimps. In other words, it's "very weakling." I think their songs are unique. Their songs are written by Youjiro Noda. There are various songs in their music. His words reveals his personality very clearly. Sometimes, he uses cruel words, but there are also many love songs. When I was young, my brother introduced RADWIMPS to me, so I started to like their songs. This time I'll introduce the song called "Oshakashama" This song is on the fifth album named "Theorem of Artcolony" Let's check it!

Hello! For today's topic I will introduce a famous Japanese singer, Aiko. Have you heard her name? There are two reasons why I chose her. First, I have liked her music since I was young. Also, my friend said that Aiko resembles me. When my friend said that I thought I wanted to know about her in detail.

Aiko is a singer-song writer in Japan.She was born in Suita of Osaka. She is 39 years old. Her real name is Aiko Yanai. I think most people don't know her real name. Aiko aimed at becoming a singer since she was young. She was able to make music since her days as a high school student. She made her debut in 1998. Her first song's name was "Ashita". This means tomorrow. Aiko makes many love songs. These songs are popular to many girls. I am one of them too. The words of her songs make girls sympathize very much. And they give you energy! Aiko has many popular songs, such as, ”Hanabi”,”Boyfriend” and more. These songs are sung in karaoke. Let's check her songs!

Falling In Reverse

Hello everyone! Today, I will introduce Falling in Reverse. They are a post-hardcore band from Las Vegas that formed in 2008.

 Have you heard post-hardcore? I think that there are many people who do not know it. There are many post-hardcore bands. For example, Blessthefall, Chiodos, I Am King, and more. By the way, I Am King and Falling In Reverse are with Epitaph Records.

Falling In Reverse has four members. They are lead singer Ronnie Radke, lead guitarist Jacky Vincent, drummer Ryan Seaman, and rhythm guitarist Derek Jones. They released the album, "The Drug In Me Is You" on July 26, 2011. It is their debut album. And their second studio album is "Fashionably Late". It was released on June 18, 2013. This album includes Alone, Fashionably Late, Bad Girls Club. I'm going to introduce Fashionably Late.

My favorite band

Hello! For today's topic, I will introduce my favorite band. The genre of my favorite music is rock and punk. Actually, there is a popular band in Japan. The band is KANA-BOON. I'd like to introduce this band.

KANA-BOON is Japanese rock band in Japan. The band has four members. It is Maguro Taniguchi, Hayato Koga, Yuma Meshida and Takahiro Koizumi. The band was formed at highschool light music club in 2008. They are from Osaka, and went to Tokyo. They debuted in 2013. The band participates in much live broadcasting. The music that they make has many swelling things. This time, I'd would like to explain my favorite. The song name is FULLDRIVE.　（フルドライブ）

This music was released on March 21, 2014. This song's MV is two men run after a woman. I listened to this song when I want to run. I feel uplifted when I listen to this music.  Because the melody of the guitar is very cool. And it is attractive one that a text is original. Please try to listen to this song. KEYTALK's New Song

Hi! I will introduce the music of my favorite band this time. The name of my favorite band is KEYTALK. At first, I want to explain about this band, KEYTALK.

KEYTALK is Japanese rock band which formed in 2009. However, their the name was REAL at the time. They changed the name after one month. The origin of their new name was the music of the jazz pianist Hiromi Uehara. KEYTALK did played live concerts in many areas. There are four members. They are Tomomasa Teranaka, Takemasa Ono, Yoshikatsu Syutou and Yuki Yagi.  I went to music festival called Caos of a Hundred Years. (百年のカオス) When I saw them for the first time there, I was impressed and enjoyed this music, because their music is dance rock and punk. Their music is very easy to dance to. Now, I will introduce their new song.

 

The name is MONSTER DANCE. The song was released on October 22 of 2014. This was used as the opening theme of a TV drama. It is the music that can dance according to the title of a musical composition. In addition, the audience dances in MV of this music.It is Yoshikatsu to have written a song with composition. Yoshikatsu wants you to take out one's monster. This song has an interesting rhythm change. I think that listen to it becomes a habit when your hear it once. Please try to listen to it.
